Congratulations to Dr. Chung-Yu Chen!

Dr. Chen, student of Dr. Fabio’s, has successfully completed her PhD program. Dr. Chen’s main research has examined the effects of hostility on various outcomes including injury and cardiovascular disease. For her dissertation Dr. Chen examined whether TV viewing is predictive of adverse cardiometabolic risk factor profiles and whether hostility personality trait modifies this association. Individuals who watched more TV were more likely to report adverse cardiometabolic risk factor profiles. Importantly, this association held for those with a high hostility trait compared to those without.

Dr. Chen has been an integral part of our injury center where she contributed to many projects.
